About Ashburton Safe Storage
Ashburton Safe Storage is a family run business. We operate across two sites, 158 and 167 Dobson Street. We are conveniently located inside the town boundary. There are 48 leasable units. All units have fire-resistance rated lining, concrete floors, lighting and are insurance company approved. The sites are securely fenced, with key tag entry and monitored cameras, offering premier storage at affordable rates.
We have a variety of sized units, from 9m3 to 130m3. Our motto of ‘we take care of it’ means we are happy to be flexible and to assist our clients in providing a range of services. Never be afraid to ask for help and we will be happy to see what we can do.
We are able to offer storage options to both residential and commercial users. This includes

Our office is staffed at a minimum between 9.15am and 2.45pm every day. Please feel free to come and inspect the facilities.
NOTE:
Storage of flammable, combustible, toxic or dangerous goods is not permitted. Any illegal activity will result in instant termination of the tenancy. No residential occupation is permitted.
Terms of Hire
Conditions Extensions
- The Lessee of any unit is fully responsible for any damage whatsoever caused by him / her, to the premises of Ashburton Safe
Storage ; (or any person directed, permitted, or authorised, by him / her to be on the property) or, to the stored goods or any other
property of any other Lessee. - In an emergency, or, on the non-payment of rental, the Lessor (or their Agent) has the unrestricted right to enter any leased space.
(Using such force as is necessary.) - On occurrence of overdue fees; the Lessor will apply interest @ 2∙5% per month to all outstanding arrears.
- In the circumstance of due payments being Fourteen 14 days in arrears, the Lessor, (or their Agent) without prior notice may
engage a Solicitor and or Debt Collection Agency to recover Rents owed. Incurred cost of such recovery, and including any Legal or
Court expenses sustained shall also become an added cost to the Lessee’s Debt. - In the event of Rental payments being more than fourteen (14) days in arrears the Lessor, (or their Agent) without prior notice,
may enter the leased unit and seize the stored goods of a Lessee. Such seized goods may be sold if payment of rental becomes
more than thirty (30) days in arrears. Sale proceeds being applied first to meeting costs of seizure and sale ; — secondly, to meeting
loss of rental and any other expenses due the Lessor ; — and thirdly, any residue shall be paid to the Lessee - Any damage to, or loss of, the gate access “Proximity Reader Fob” and “ID key ring” will incur a $200.00 replacement fee.
- A “Call Out” cost fee of $120.00 will be applied and charged for any unusual / extraordinary attendances.
- It is agreed that the storage of items located at ________ and stored on behalf of (third party) are stored
completely at the owners risk and (the landlord) do not take any responsibility for any loss or damage to these products stored or
accept any responsibility for any consequential loss due to the loss or damage of products stored. - It is accepted by (the third party) that there can be no legal action taken against (the landlord) by (the third party) or their
insurance company for any loss or damage of any products stored or any consequential loss from the loss or damage of any
products stored on behalf of (the third party).
